Job Title: Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: SwindonSalary: £55,000 to £65,000 + packageAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy, privately owned infrastructure contractor at their offices in Swindon. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy, professional commercial team working on major infrastructure projects for clients including National Grid, the Environment Agency and Highways England, often with contract values of more than £200m.The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working on a wide range of projects, taking them from procurement to settlement of final accounts. Some of your key duties will include:

  • Develop & manage the project budgets throughout each phase, monitoring expenditures and ensuring the projects are completed within budget constraints.
  • Oversee the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids and negotiation of contracts
  • Administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed T&C's
  • Identify and asses potential risks related to the projects
  • Evaluate project designs and specifications to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Implement effective cost control measures to monitor & manage project expenses
  • Prepare & present financial cost reports, including cost forecasts & cash flow projections
  • Manage changes in project scope and assess their impact on costs & schedules
