Senior Quantity Surveyor

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor on an upcoming scheme in Swindon. The business operates across several sectors including industrial, mixed-use residential and commercial valuing up to 100mil.

This is an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to run an upcoming scheme in Swindon valued circa 50mil.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing the project from pre-construction through to final account. It will have a programme of circa 12 months and you'll be reporting into a visiting Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tenders
Manage sub-contract procurement
Manage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
Manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
Deal with final accounts
Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development

Key requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

Be educated to HNC / Degree level
Have a proven track record of managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
Have experience managing projects valuing up to 30mil
Be well versed in administering JCT & NEC forms of contract
Have the full right to work in the UK and be happy to commute to office and site as required.
