Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing new-build housing developer based in Swindon, seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing all aspects of the commercial and financial elements of multiple residential construction projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the financial and commercial aspects of new-build housing projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement and manage contracts.
  • Monitor project performance, identifying areas for cost savings and ensuring project compliance.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Produce and review valuations, cost reports, and final accounts.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior surveyors and other members of the commercial team.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the new-build housing sector or a similar construction environment.
  • A degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (RICS accreditation preferred).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and cost management.
  • Experience in dealing with subcontractors, procurement, and contract management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
