Role: Senior Quantity SurveyorLocation: Swindon, WiltshireSalary: £65,000 to £70,000 + car/allowance + fuel card, pension, healthcare, 25 days leave + bank holidaysWork arrangement: Hybrid Working (3 days on site/2 days remote)An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a project in Swindon. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be the lead QS on the £20m contract which includes the construction of a facility for a large water provider and a programme lasting for around 2.5 years.The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be supported by an onsite QS and working closely with the site team, external suppliers and subcontractors. Your key duties will include:
- Oversee the procurement and management of sub-contractor accounts including applications for payments, contract administration and negotiation of final accounts.
- Manage the Early Warning and Compensation Events process
- Monitor project cash flow
- Ensure accurate cost reporting
- Presentation of monthly CVR's and profit/loss accounts
- Act as a mentor to the site based QS, offering advice and support where required
Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this position will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience working within the civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities sector for a main contractor. You'll need an indepth knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts, first class communication skills and a natural ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor can expect a rewarding opportunity that includes:
