We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Laboratory Technician to work for a top performing surface technology company in Swindon.

About the Role

In this role you will metallurgically examine coatings on customer components to ascertain cause of failure or to confirm/check that new coating techniques meet the requirements expected.

Further you will be preparing laboratory reports outlining details of the examination and any conclusions reached.

Ensuring that all inspection documentation is complete and that all details, have been accurately recorded on outgoing certification is required in this role.

Issuing the final certification of conformance prior to the dispatch of components.

You will raise non-conformance reports when required.

You will be preparing and evaluate various hardness samples, microstructure, bond testing.

About You

Previous experience in a laboratory within manufacturing, coating or aerospace industries and educated to A level or equivalent (preferable science).

Further you must be analytical, and detail orientated.

You have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Additionally, you possess the demonstrable ability to deliver your responsibilities in line with safety, quality and productivity targets.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Working hours: The role is shift based rotating 6.00 - 14.10/14.00 - 22.10 (19.15 finish on Fridays).

Pay: 12 - 14 per hour
