About the RoleAcademics Ltd is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate Drama Teacher to join a highly regarded, high-performing Performing Arts school in Swindon. This school has an excellent reputation for its outstanding Performing Arts department, and the ideal candidate will have experience teaching Drama to GCSE and A-Level students. The role offers the chance to inspire and engage students, nurturing their creativity and passion for performance. We also welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with strong mentorship and support provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Drama at KS4 and KS5
- Prepare and assess coursework, exams, and other assessments
- Support students' academic and personal growth, offering pastoral care as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the curriculum
- Participate in school-wide events, including school productions, and professional development opportunities
Key Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent, with relevant subject experience
- Strong knowledge of the Drama curriculum at GCSE and A-Level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching and helping students reach their full potential
- ECTs are welcome to apply, with excellent mentoring and support provided
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
