About the Job:

  • Ensuring that sewing machines and other equipment are in good working order.
  • Altering or repairing customers garments, which includes hemming, mending, lengthening, as well as taking in and letting out seams.
  • Constructing garments and other articles and recording the alternations required.
  • To report any accidents, equipment malfunction, maintenance faults, immediately to Manager.
  • To understand and follow all the objectives, standards, policies and procedures outlined by your Manager.

About You

  • Previous experience as a seamstress or tailoring
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working with a calm, positive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety standards.
  • Ability to work with a variety of fabrics and materials, including delicate and high-end textiles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
