Assistant Automotive Service Centre Manager required in Swindon.

Our client is an independent automotive service centre group with 18 locations nationwide, and is currently recruiting for an Assistant Service Centre Manager for their site in Swindon.Reporting to the Centre Manager and responsible for roughly nine members of staff, your key responsibilities shall include:
  • Managing a team of Vehicle Technicians.
  • Organising workload and workshop bookings.
  • Operating workshop loading system.
  • Dealing with customer enquiries in person and by telephone.
  • Quoting for repairs, selling labour hours available via customer bookings.
  • Accurately recording faults with vehicles/completing job sheets.
  • Obtaining authority for repairs.
  • Managing and ordering parts.
  • Creating invoices and taking payment from customers.
To be eligible, our clients are looking for candidates with similar management/supervisory experience in an automotive service centre. Experience from an automotive mechanical background/being capable of assisting in the workshop, would be beneficial, but our client is willing to consider candidates with purely front-of-house experience. The successful candidate must also be able to maintain exceptional quality while meeting targets and also liaise with the Centre Manager, co-workers and customers.
