1:1 Teaching Assistant & Midday Supervisor / Learning Support Assistant with MDSA Role - SN2

Are you passionate about making a difference in a child’s learning journey? My client is looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide personalized support to a child with an EHCP, while also taking on a Midday Supervisor role. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and enthusiastic team, helping children thrive in their learning and personal development. This position will be working for 22 hours as a TA and for 5 hours as an MDSA. The working pattern is 8:30am to 2pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8:30am to 1:30pm (Fridays) 1 hour of this time each day will be the MDSA role.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide one-to-one support for a child with an EHCP, helping with their academic, emotional, and physical needs
  • Support the teacher in preparing and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Assist in developing and monitoring personalized learning plans and education goals
  • Deliver interventions and activities that promote safe and effective learning behaviors
  • Supervise children during midday breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Have experience working with children with SEND or a strong interest in developing these skills
  • Hold a Level 2/3 NVQ Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Be competent with IT for record-keeping and communication tasks
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
