SEN Teaching Assistant - SN2
Are you passionate about making a difference in a vibrant school community? My client seeks a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with children with additional needs in a Year 6 class. Join them to create a supportive and nurturing environment where every child can excel. This role will be starting in September on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year with scope for the role to turn permanent. This will be working Monday to Fridays, mornings only.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting a teacher in a Year 6 class each morning
- Working with individuals or small groups of children
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of children by accurately assessing risks
- Collaborating effectively within a team and using your initiative
- Demonstrating an understanding of the KS2 curriculum
- Communicating effectively with children and adults, both verbally and in writing
About You
- Be able to do the job as described
- Empathetic, patient, and caring, with a strong understanding of children's individual needs
- Knowledgeable about sensory processing disorders and communication difficulties
- Skilled in forming effective relationships with children
- Flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a team
