SEN Teaching Assistant / Special Educational Needs Support Assistant - SN2

My client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a named pupil with additional needs at a vibrant and nurturing primary school. This role offers the opportunity to create a positive impact by empowering children to overcome barriers to learning, while working within a welcoming and values-driven community. This role is available on a named-pupil contract working for 27.5 hours per week.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop positive relationships with children to support their learning and emotional growth.
  • Provide one-on-one and group interventions to support a named pupil with SEND.
  • Collaborate with teachers and the SENDCo to address children’s progress and barriers.
  • Follow individual support plans and engage with relevant training to enhance your skills.
  • Assist with classroom organization, administrative tasks, and creating an engaging learning environment.
  • Supervise children during playtimes, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Administer first aid as needed and report incidents following school policies.
