A brilliant school has a vacancy for an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of an SEN Teaching Assistant. The school support students with complex needs, learning disabilities as well as SEMH needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, the candidate will be responsible for supporting students 1-1 support throughout the school day. The candidate will be encouraging students to maintain focus and work towards achieving independence and life skills. The school are looking for a graduate to join their team and work alongside the support staff and on-site professionals. As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will develop an understanding regarding additional needs and how to support children facing challenges while in education.

The SEN Teaching Assistant role is a highly important position within the school due to the relationships built between them and the students, so they are looking for a candidate who can work under their own initiative. It is important to have emotional intelligence and a genuine interest in seeing the pupils succeed. The SEN Teaching Assistant will be working with a singular student on a 1:1 basis, alongside a specialist SEN Teacher and a second SEN Teaching Assistant.
