SEMH Learning Mentor - SN2

My client is looking for a committed Learning Mentor to support children with SEMH needs in an inclusion unit at the school. Help create a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere where every child can thrive! This position is available on a full-time basis on a permanent contract, starting ASAP.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting a teacher with managing the classroom and student behavior
  • Ensuring children's safety and well-being by evaluating potential risks
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and taking initiative
  • Applying knowledge of the curriculum in your daily activities
  • Communicating clearly with both children and adults, orally and in writing

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Possess empathy, patience, and a caring nature, with insight into children's unique needs
  • Have a solid understanding of sensory processing issues and communication challenges
  • Excel at building meaningful relationships with children
  • Adaptable and able to work both independently and within a team
