What You’ll Be Doing

  • Shaping and implementing the school's SEND policy in alignment with school-wide goals
  • Managing day-to-day operations of SEND provision, ensuring the best outcomes for pupils with SEND or disabilities
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support children with additional needs
  • Monitoring and reviewing the quality of SEND provision across the school and contributing to school self-evaluation
  • Advising colleagues on best practices for teaching students with SEND, guiding the school’s SEND resources and funding
  • Leading intervention groups and supporting teaching assistants in delivering effective support

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Qualified as a SENDCo or demonstrate a strong passion for working with children with additional needs and a willingness to undertake relevant qualifications
  • Experience in teaching children with a variety of needs and working alongside multiple professionals
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage SEND provision and inspire others to support the school’s inclusive vision
  • Have excellent communication skills for liaising with external agencies, parents, and staff members
