SENDCo - Special Educational Needs Coordinator / SEN Leadership Role - SN2

My client, a welcoming and supportive primary school, is looking for a dedicated SENDCo to champion the development and inclusion of pupils with special educational needs. Working two days per week, you’ll lead the school’s SEN strategy, collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to deliver meaningful impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the school’s SEN strategy and day-to-day SEN operations.
  • Coordinating individual learning plans and managing EHCPs.
  • Collaborating with parents, teaching staff, and external agencies to support inclusion.
  • Monitoring and improving provision for SEND, EAL, AGAT, and looked-after children.
  • Managing and guiding teaching assistants to deliver tailored interventions.
  • Attending senior leadership meetings and contributing to school-wide initiatives.

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience as a SENDCo or willingness to undertake training.
  • Comprehensive understanding of child development, SEND needs, and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents and carers.
