Join our Facilities Cleaning Team at a primary school in Swindon as a School Cleaner. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the school environment. Day-to-day of the role:- Supervisory duties including creating rotas and supporting team of cleaners
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste management.
- Ensure that internal school facilities are cleaned to the required standards as directed by the Facilities Assistant and/or Superintendent.
- Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, and other facilities.
- Adhere to colour coding directives and regularly change mop heads, cloths, and other equipment.
- Damp-wipe tables, chairs, desks, and other hard surfaces.
- Vacuum all soft floors and carpets, including barrier matting.
- Clean and sanitise touch points, door handles, push plates, and other surfaces.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Good knowledge of the use of cleaning chemicals, including COSHH.
- Previous cleaning experience in a school environment is preferred, but full training will be provided.
- Appointment to this role is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service Check (DBS).
- Competitive hourly rate of £11.44.
