Join our Facilities Cleaning Team at a primary school in Swindon as a School Cleaner. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the school environment. If you are dedicated, detail-oriented, and take pride in creating clean, safe spaces, we encourage you to apply.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Supervisory duties including creating rotas and supporting team of cleaners
  • Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste management.
  • Ensure that internal school facilities are cleaned to the required standards as directed by the Facilities Assistant and/or Superintendent.
  • Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, and other facilities.
  • Adhere to colour coding directives and regularly change mop heads, cloths, and other equipment.
  • Damp-wipe tables, chairs, desks, and other hard surfaces.
  • Vacuum all soft floors and carpets, including barrier matting.
  • Clean and sanitise touch points, door handles, push plates, and other surfaces.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Good knowledge of the use of cleaning chemicals, including COSHH.
  • Previous cleaning experience in a school environment is preferred, but full training will be provided.
  • Appointment to this role is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service Check (DBS).
