Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting multiple Field-Based Forklift Engineers across the UK (multiple locations) to join a market leading material handling solutions company. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for the maintenance and fault finding on machinery.

The Role

As a mobile engineer, you will be playing a vital role in ensuring the maintenance of the forklift fleet, as well as inspections, testing, fault finding, repairs and all whilst maintaining an exceptional level of customer service. The role is a dynamic field-based role, meaning you are required to travel to client’s premises to fulfil the aforementioned tasks.

Role: Field Service Engineer (Forklift Technician)

Location: Oxford (M4 Corridor)

Salary: Competitive. Based on experience

Hours: 45 hpw, paid door-to-door

Holiday: 23 days plus bank holidays

Responsibilities

-          To carry out routine maintenance and diagnostic checks on our forklift fleet

-          To perform scheduled maintenance tasks including replacements, lubrication, adjustments or any full fixes

-          Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults effectively and in a timely manner

-          To communicate with customers regarding their needs and formulate solutions

-          Provide education to customers on best practice, ensuring longevity of the client’s products

-          To communicate with the team regarding technical issues and improvements

Qualifications/Requirements

-          Experience as a forklift engineer/relevant engineering experience

-          Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic trouble shooting

-          Attention to details and a problem-solving attitude

-          Ability to work alone, whilst maintaining speed, efficiency and safety

-          Happy to commute to customer sites, as well as being comfortable in varying work environments

-          A valid UK driving license – full, clean
