We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician. As a HGV Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles. This is a great opportunity to work with a reputable company and contribute to the smooth day to day operation.
About the HGV Technician Role:
- Monday- Friday
- Salary 38,500-40K plus bonus scheme after 3 months of 800 to 1100 per month
- Permanent role
- Swindon based
Duties & Responsibilities for the HGV Technician Role:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct inspections and identify any potential problems or safety concerns
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
- Follow safety protocols and ensure work area is clean and organized
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repairs
Experience & Skills required for the HGV Technician Role:
- Previous experience working as a HGV Technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Proficient in using power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers
