We are working closely with a well-respected, leading provider of Water Treatment services across the UK. Due to continued growth and success, they are now seeking to take on a Water Treatment Service Chemist to join their South West team. This role would suit someone who has extensive experience working on Industrial / Process water sites; carrying out weekly / monthly steam boiler, cooling tower, and closed loop system testing, sample analysis and dosing systems with correct chemicals using onsite test kits. The successful candidate will ideally have experience promoting sales through the cross selling of remaining services.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Chippenham, Andover, Warminster, Sailsbury, Malbrough, Devizes, Bath, Bristol, Trowbridge, Newbury, Cirencester, Frome, Trowbridge, Malbrough, Tidworth, Glastonbury, Basingstoke, Bracknell, Camberley, Aldershot, Farnham.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Will have experience working hands on as a Water Treatment Service Chemist for a reputable Water Treatment outfit.
" Holding a chemistry-based degree / qualification would be beneficial to the role.
" Will be IT literate and confident using industry relevant systems.
" Will have excellent technical knowledge of water treatment systems.
" Experience working in a sales position, able to upsell and promote products and services.
" Will be flexible and adaptable in line with company and client needs.
" Able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
" Excellent time management skills.
" Will always be professional and personable with clients and colleagues.
The Role:
" Attending various longstanding client sites to carry out weekly / monthly steam boiler, cooling tower, closed loop system testing.
" Carrying out closed system sampling and analysis, using onsite test kits to dose systems correctly.
" Undertaking fault-finding, repairs, and calibration of instruments to ensure accuracy.
" Conducting PPM in line with client requirements.
" Using industry recognised systems to produce site specific schematic drawings.
" Promoting company products and services to new and existing clients.
" Creating site specific reports and using reports to identify trends that could be used to improve product support, supply, and manufacturing.
" Working closely with the sales team to maximise results, converting sales quotes into orders.
" Ensuring work is carried out in line with relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
" Assisting in training of new and existing employees.
" Ensuring systems are up to date and accurate.
" Direct input of improving work procedures and communications for client services.
" Acting as first point of contact for clients, ensuring that any issues are dealt with in a timely manner and passed onto the appropriate person.
" Liaising with clients to provide information regarding equipment and methods that best suit their requirements.
" Maintaining and continuing to build professional client relationships.
