This subcontractor of aerospace and automotive components seeks an experienced TIG Welder to join their operation based in Wiltshire. Working a rotating AM/PM shift requires a coded welder who can demonstrate previous experience gained in welding and fabrication, and who can evidence working with stainless steel, aluminium/ aluminium bronze, and other semi-precious, high-value metals. As a coded TIG Welder you will be joining a highly experienced and knowledgeable team of engineers and machinists, therefore you will need to demonstrate collaborative, team-style working methods. Due to the customer sector, which includes the MOD, aerospace and high-performance fields, there is s stringent need for accuracy and efficiency are key to the success of this role. All work is produced on high-spec CNC lathes and mills which are used in the manufacture of machined die castings and a range of specialist component parts.Â
As an approved supplier to the Aerospace Standard 9100 which includes ISO 9001, we seek a highly skilled welder who can demonstrate the necessary skills and expertise in this field. Your key responsibilities will include the setting and operating of TIG Welding Equipment, welding a variety of aluminium, stainless and mild steel parts, and sub-assemblies and you are required to purge weld to a standard set by the company. There is a need for previous spot-welding experience of components using manual or CNC welding equipment, to perform brazing of high-temperature silver/low temperature brass work.Â
