SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Support

Empowering Learning is currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide exceptional 1:1 support within a Secondary School in Lewisham. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a young learner, ensuring they receive high-quality education and care in an environment where they can thrive.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Job Description:

Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN.
Start immediately - 105-110 per day.
Full-time, term-time only, for the full academic year.
Based in Lewisham.

Key Responsibilities:

Use your creativity to inspire and engage pupils.
Deliver tailored support to Key Stage 3 & 4 pupils with SEN (e.g., ASD, Dyslexia, ADHD) and behavioural needs.
Access high-quality, personalised CPD to enhance your skills.
Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Person Specification:

Degree (1:1 or 2:1 preferred) in Psychology, Criminology, or Social Sciences.
Understanding of SEN and experience working with children (personal or professional).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Open-minded, proactive, and creative.
