Care Coordinator
Location: Symington, KA1 5PU.
Salary: £25,224 - £26,508 per annum (pro rata).
Contract: 30 hours per week, permanent.

An opportunity has arisen for a part-time permanent Coordinator in our Respite service, The Cabin. Working together with the Service Manager and Assistant Manager, the successful applicant will assist to support the health care needs of our customers as well as supporting them to enjoy their break in a way which reflects their individual choices, interests, wishes and aspirations.
The Co-ordinator will also provide effective line management support to the service’s staff team and will also share responsibilities to support local emergency on-call operating procedures on a rotational basis.
The successful candidate will have a minimum two years’ experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex health needs. An SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is also essential. Experience of providing supervisory support to a team is desirable but not essential.
In addition applicants should also have the following attributes and experience:
• Experience of creating person centred care plans and risk assessments
• Experience of working within a residential care setting
• In-depth understanding of our values, current social care legislation and best practice
• Proficiency and confidence in the use of IT systems including Word, Excel, Power point and databases
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively manage competing demands
