My client is a world leader in the development of specialist high performance packaging solutions and is extremely well established. This highly respected manufacturer is looking to expand its engineering capacity and is adding to the engineering knowledge already within their current team. The group supplies products into several blue chip manufacturing organisations with a reputation for product quality and reliability.

The Role
The Senior Controls Engineer will contribute towards the development of the next generation of automation machines. Your skills are likely to be in developing motion control software on various PLC platforms, typically Siemens, Omron, Beckhoff for example with an aptitude to developing projects from the cradle to the grave. An understanding and use of the project management tools would be an advantage. Exposure to leading both internally and externally design reviews on projects. Also, communicate and manage suppliers, to make sure the quality of design output is hit, together with the achievement of order deadlines. There may also be some commissioning and post installation activities. The Principal engineer, will be also respobsible for mentoring engineers through the business.
