Sonic Summary

Samuel Smiths, a historic independent brewery in Tadcaster, Yorkshire, is seeking a fully qualified Mechanical Engineer.
Candidates should possess an ONC/HNC, BTEC, or equivalent in mechanical engineering along with a recognized apprenticeship.
The role involves working on plant machinery and production lines, including fault finding, diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance.
Experience maintaining production lines is preferred, and the ideal candidate should be self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
The position offers a salary of £35,000 and requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Samuel Smiths is one of Britains few remaining longstanding independent breweries. We brew a wide range of high quality beers all from natural ingredients at the Old Brewery in Tadcaster, Yorkshire, which was established in 1758.

We are currently looking for a fully qualified Mechanical Engineer with an ONC/HNC, BTEC or equivalent in mechanical engineering and a recognised apprenticeship.

Duties to include the following:

To work on plant machinery/production lines throughout the entire brewery.
Fault finding, diagnosis and repair.
Ordering and obtaining quotes for parts and contract work
Preventative maintenance.

Preferable:

Experience maintaining production lines.
Self motivated
Flexible
Able to work alone or as part of a team.

Working Hours

Two Shift Monday to Friday 6.00am to 2.00pm/2.00pm to 10.00pm (10am 6.00pm on Friday)
