Credit Controller - Full Time - Permanent - £30,000 - £45,000 - Basingstoke 

Reed Accountancy is thrilled to collaborate with a Basingstoke client in search of an experienced Credit Controller with a solid construction industry background to oversee their credit control function. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in the prompt collection of outstanding debts, thereby safeguarding the financial well-being of our operations.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Contacting customers regarding overdue payments through phone and emails.
  • Preparing and processing payment applications for submission.
  • Creating and maintaining spreadsheets to track all applications issued and outstanding payment certificates/payments.
  • Setting up projects on Construct software.
  • Assisting the finance director with general finance-related duties.
  • Preparing and monitoring a debtor's report with detailed status of all items owed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in credit control within the construction industry, including knowledge of retention and applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
  • Proficiency in using Sage and Construct software.
  • Essential knowledge of Excel.
  • At least 2 years of experience with payment applications.
