Business Support Manager (Therapies)

We are seeking a dedicated Business Support Manager (Therapies) to provide high-quality support to the Director of Therapies & Education. This role is crucial in enhancing the directorate's performance through effective management support, project leadership, and data analysis. The successful candidate will represent the Director in a professional manner, ensuring efficient information management and proactive project management in areas such as budgets, recruitment, and retention.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Attend and track meetings across the organisation related to regulatory compliance, ensuring quality assurance.
  • Monitor and plan for mandatory training compliance, producing and distributing training materials.
  • Manage sickness and annual leave tracking for the team, providing overviews to the Director.
  • Lead on updating Risk Registers and support the review of progress and actions in partnership with Directors and managers.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the organisation and with external contacts.
  • Coordinate and monitor NHS job planning across the therapies directorate.
  • Manage policy coordination, ensuring policies are up-to-date and meet committee standards.
  • Assist with diary management, event coordination, and document drafting for the Director.
  • Support recruitment processes for Allied Health Professional roles and manage the therapies international recruitment programme.
  • Oversee training requirements and manage therapy bank staff.
  • Manage budgets, report on financial trends, and ensure proper staffing levels to meet operational needs.
  • Analyse and report on department statistics, incidents, and compliance, supporting the Directorate's quality agenda.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a managerial or business support role, preferably within a healthcare or therapy setting.
  • Strong ability to manage projects, coordinate policies, and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines and support operational needs.
  • Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List clearance.
