Hours: 37.5hrs a week (Flexible working hours)

A profitable £75m turnover family owned and long-established business providing Cleaning, Security Facility Management services. Our HQ and all the finance team are based in Walton-on-the-Hill in Surrey and we operate across the UK with a network of staff numbering in excess of 3,200+. 

Our customers range from multi-national corporates such as Amazon to multiple high street retailers, large and small distributors, financial institutions and SMEs.

Job Purpose  

To provide a professional Payroll service for our (1x) fortnightly and (3x) four-weekly payrolls under the direction of the Payroll Manager.

Major Accountabilities 

•    To ensure that the payment of all wages and salaries are made in an accurate and timely manner•    Processing of new starters and leavers•    To ensure that appropriate checks are undertaken by the team before the payrolls are finalised•    To encourage teamwork and develop a spirit of mutual cooperation within the team•    End to end payroll processing, including HMRC submissions•    To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Payroll Manager

Key Relationships  

•    Payroll Manager•    Payroll Support Officers•    Colleagues throughout the business•    Human Resources, Finance and other departments within Head Office•    Operations managers•    Payroll provider and other third party providers

Role Requirements: 

•    CIPP qualified to level 3 or willingness to undertake qualification

•    Has 5 years hands-on payroll processing experience

•    Has a good eye for detail and ability to multi-task

•    Possesses a competent understanding of specific procedures including PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP, Attachment of Earnings, as well as ability to manually calculate these

•    Be comfortable with basic Word skills and intermediate/advanced Excel.

•    Appreciate the concept of teamwork and help develop good working relationships with staff at all levels within the Organisation.

•    Experience of processing more than 1 payroll frequency at a time is advantageous, not essential.
