An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Interim Payroll Supervisor to join the Finance team.

As the Payroll Supervisor at The Childrens Trust, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll. You will support the Payroll Manager and Finance Department with various payroll-related functions, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and enhancing operational efficiency.


Key Accountabilities

  • Working with the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including the entry and reconciliation of timesheets, holiday pay calculations, and updates to payroll records.
  • Assist with year-end payroll tasks, including PSA and P11D calculations and submissions, while ensuring adherence to HMRC regulations and organisational policies
  • Maintain and update payroll systems by performing data cleansing, ensuring information accuracy, and implementing necessary adjustments
  • Respond to and resolve payroll-related queries promptly, providing excellent service to internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager and Finance Department on ad hoc projects, reconciliations, and operational improvements
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across departments to ensure smooth payroll operations and communication
  • Requirement to work 1 additional day per month to cover payroll processing weeks
  • Provide coverage for the Payroll Manager during absences and support the team with critical payroll cycles and projects

Rehabilitation of Offenders

Successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, which will disclose all unspent convictions and adult cautions and any spent convictions or adult cautions that would not be protected.
