Avanti Recruitment has partnered with a leading R+ IoT/Green-Tech company, that is looking to bolster it's R+D team with an experienced embedded software engineer. You'll take ownership of one of their products and be responsible for planning development roadmaps, taking the product through the whole development life-cycle as well as assisting and mentoring juniors.

There's scope to grow into a more managerial role over time, and get more involved in building the team and helping to shape the technical direction of the business.

What we're looking for:
Strong C & C++ with great knowledge of object-oriented programming
Strong experience with embedded Linux (User-space C++)
Familiarity with RTOS OR Linux Device Drivers, and microcontrollers
Knowledge of I2C & UART (RS232/485)
TCP/IP or IoT protocols (MQTT, BLE, etc.)

Experience with Yocto is preferred, but we will consider candidates who want to learn this.

Nice to have:
Arm MCUs
CI tools/Build automation - Jenkins
KiCAD/OrCAD/Altium for PCB design/schematic capture
