Reed Education are supporting a wonderful SEN School in Tadworth, and we are on the lookout for a talented Teaching Assistant who will be part of a team that celebrates the small yet significant victories every day. This role is perfect for someone passionate about making a positive impact on young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support children and young people in their learning and development, helping to raise their self-esteem.
  • Work closely with children who have a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and associated behavioural difficulties.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a supportive and safe learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement educational plans that cater to individual student needs.
  • Monitor and support the progress of students, celebrating their achievements and addressing challenges proactively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Resilience and dedication to support students with special educational needs.
  • Experience working in a classroom setting is ideal, but not mandatory as comprehensive training is provided.
  • Strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
