Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, Band 8a, Rehab andSchool
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join theTherapy Team. This role will require the successful candidate to promote the provision of high quality, evidence-based speech, and language therapy services, which will promote the participation, function and safe care of children and young people.
Role Requirements
The post holder will be expected to initiate and contribute to quality improvement, research, service development and audit activities. They will provide support and clinical supervision to speech and language therapists across the organisation.You will manage a small caseload of complex children and young people within the Rehabilitation Services and hold clinical specialism in advanced dysphagia skills and tracheostomy care for children and young people with acquired brain injuries and complex neurodisability. You will support a multi-disciplinary team approach to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, respiratory management, training, and education.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.
