Asan Activities Coordinator you will be responsible for connecting with residents, relatives, and friends within the life of the care home and the outside world. Understanding residents lives past and present. Encouraging conversation, mobility, physical activity, and daily activities.

Ensure that your actions support the care, protection, and wellbeing of all individuals, by treating them with respect and dignity, assisting with their protection and promoting their independence. Adhere to current legislation and codes regarding working practices and working within Parklands Policies and Procedures.

The Role...

  • Promote the health and mental well-being of residents by facilitating their participation in daily activities that enhance their quality of life.
  • Organise and assist residents in accessing a variety of recreational activities, both individually and in groups, to encourage socialization and ensure they have a fulfilling experience at Parklands Care Home.
  • Effective communication with residents, staff, families, visitors, and healthcare professionals is essential for creating a positive environment.
  • Observe, monitor, and record residents' participation and well-being during activities, contributing to their care plans and personal life stories.
  • Supporting mobility and following safety protocols while helping residents with health appointments and ensuring enjoyable mealtimes are key duties.
  • Implement policies related to falls management and physical activity, attend mandatory training, and maintain confidentiality regarding residents and staff matters.

This is apermanent role, working eitherfull-time or part-time, on arotational basisthatincludes weekends.
