Our client is a high-growth distribution business based in Tamworth, supplying key markets across the UK. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to strengthen their finance team with an experienced and hands-on Management Accountant to work closely with the Financial Controller.
This role will be a blend of management accounting and transactional finance, ensuring accurate financial reporting, improving processes, and providing financial insights to drive profitability. The successful candidate will be involved in everything from preparing management accounts to overseeing transactional finance duties such as reconciliations, VAT returns, and ledger oversight.
What is required- Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or QBE Management Accountant with experience in distribution, logistics, or manufacturing.
- Hands-on approach, comfortable with both management accounting and transactional finance, including reconciliations, VAT returns, and ledger management.
- Proven track record of working with operational teams to improve financial understanding and drive performance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and enhance financial reporting processes.
- A pivotal role in a growing business, where you will be involved in both high-level financial reporting and day-to-day transactional finance.
- Extensive exposure to senior finance and operational leaders, working directly with the Financial Controller.
