Are you a hands-on finance professional? Whether you're AAT Level 4 qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or QBE with strong experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop within a growing business.

About the Role:

As a management accountant, you'll play a key role in managing the finance function, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while supporting management accounts and group reporting. You'll oversee transactions, ensure accurate postings, and contribute to financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of the nominal ledger
  • Process accruals, prepayments, and maintain the fixed asset register
  • Analyse overhead expenditure and provide insights
  • Assist in year-end accounts preparation and external audit
  • Support VAT returns, intercompany reporting, and reconciliations
  • Review transactions processed by the bookkeeper
  • Manage direct debits and nominal cashbook postings
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and generate payments for approval
  • Reconcile bank accounts and invoice discounting accounts
  • Conduct credit checks and maintain customer credit limits
  • Provide cover and support across the finance team
What We're Looking For:
  • AAT Level 4, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or QBE with relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Sage or similar accounting software experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to guide others
