Our client is a dynamic and high growth PE Backed business operating within the Construction Industry with their head office ideally located within Tamworth (easily accessible from both East & West Midlands)

As a result of internal promotion, FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join the business.

Supported by a high calibre Finance Manager / Financial Controller the successful candidate will assist with:

Detailed knowledge and experience Financial & Management Accounting, preferably in the Construction environment

Capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines

Ability to multi-task and manage a varied workload

Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets

Analysing and interpreting financial data to provide insights for decision-making

Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with company deadlines

Managing the financial month-end and year-end close processes

Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements

Assisting with internal and external audits

Developing and maintaining financial models and reports

Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls

Managing the fixed asset register and capital expenditure tracking

This position is equally suited to Part Qualified, Qualified and QBE Accountants alike, with the focus being on previous experience and securing a good cultural fit to the rest of the business.

Whilst a management accountant position by nature, this vacancy does also require a high level of business partnering across the wider business (Sales, Commercial, Operations) therefore excellent interpersonal and communication skills are key

Proven experience in management accounting or similar finance role

Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Xero, Sage, etc. COINS OA Desirable, but not essential)

Advanced Excel skills

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with senior management

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
