Are you an experienced tax professional looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic and evolving business? We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team, providing expert tax advice and ensuring compliance across the UK and Ireland.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will be a key business partner, offering strategic tax guidance, managing compliance, and driving process improvements. You will ensure tax efficiency across operations while maintaining alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK and Ireland corporation tax regulations, advising on key tax matters.
  • Oversee and collaborate with external tax advisers to ensure efficient tax filings, maximising claims and reliefs.
  • Support the preparation of VAT returns and indirect tax filings, working closely with the Tax Accountant.
  • Monitor compliance and contribute to tax risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee and manage income and deferred tax accounting, ensuring accurate reporting to the US parent company.
  • Provide tax advice to finance, legal, and business teams, ensuring tax implications are considered in transactions and business decisions.
  • Support tax audits, transfer pricing documentation, and international tax projects.
  • Lead tax technology initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance.

The successful Tax Manager will have:

  • CTA, ICAEW/ICAS, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of four years' experience in tax.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex tax regulations into practical business solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in either industry or accountancy practice.
