Your new companyHays are working directly with an organisation in Tamworth who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. Your new role

  • Assist with the production of month end accounts up to draft P&L for UK and Ireland
  • Processing month end journals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Variance analysis
  • Ensuring tax compliance at all times in UK & Ireland (VAT, CIS, RCT)
  • Cash forecasting
  • Fleet management analysis
  • Business partnering with the wider business
  • Assisting with preparing Year-end audit files, ensuring all information and supporting documents are electronically available, in accordance within the agreed timeframe
  • Assisting others in the Finance Team with any other duties as required, including the upkeep of electronic filing
  • Promote and advocate continuous learning
  • Document & maintain current processes and procedures
  • Any other ad-hoc duties
