Aspire People are currently recruiting for a temporary Administrator/Finance Assistant to work in a busy Primary School based in Tamworth. It is advantageous that applicants have school finance experience and be proficient on SIMS. However, applicants with strong administration and finance experience in a similar sector will also be considered, but you must have the drive and enthusiasm to learn new skills and be able adapt quickly.
You must also be willing to work on a temporary basis and work between the hours of 8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. The role is to start ASAP and is ongoing. There may also be an opportunity to move to a permanent contract within the School, although this is not guaranteed.
You must have an enhanced child work force DBS on the update service, or be willing to pay 47.20 for a new one. Please only apply if you are able to do this.
As a School Administrator/Finance Assistant your day to day responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Inputting details onto SIMS
Answering phones and taking messages
Typing of letters and memos
Filing, faxing and photocopying
Dealing with parents and pupils
Assist in the provision of the comprehensive financial support services
Promote the highest standards of financial probity and value for money
Prepare monthly reports to present to the business manager
Monitor budgets within the academy
Oversee communications with payroll services, teachers pensions and the local government pension scheme
Maintain systems and procedures that ensure transactions are records
Oversee preparations of invoices and collection of all fees
Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial systems and processes
You must be:
Proactive
Hardworking
Used to working to strict deadlines
Not afraid to take on new tasks
Able to multi task
Outgoing and have a friendly personality
