ABC Teachers are looking for Nursery Nurse to support in one of our partneered nurseries in the Tamworth area.

As a Nursery Teaching Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the nursery team in the daily care and education of our children.

The children you will be working with will range from babies to 5 years of age and the hours can be any time between 07:30 - 17:30 dependent on the needs of the nursery. 

You may be asked to conduct a variety of roles which could be doing day to day supply, long-term and short-term assignements. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of activities that promote the development of children.
  • Supporting the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Helping with the preparation and maintenance of learning materials and resources.
  • Ensuring the nursery’s policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Assisting with the personal care of children, including toileting, feeding, and dressing.
  • Observing and recording children's progress and communicating this to the lead teacher.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and ongoing professional development.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them to thrive.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a desire to start a career in early childhood education.
  • A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, creativity, and a caring nature.
  • Have or be willing to obtain a DBS on the update service.
