Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialist engineering and manufacturing equipment, and they are looking for a Business Development Specialist to drive growth across European markets. Plase note - this role will mainly be office based with anticipated travel to Europe each month to meet partners and prospective customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Be a brand ambassador - Represent the company with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Drive business growth - Identify and develop new opportunities within the automotive and other engineering sectors across Europe.
- Build strong client relationships - Provide tailored solutions and maintain long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams - Ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare proposals & contracts - Support sales efforts with compelling business development materials.
- Market analysis - Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity.
- Engage in networking & events - Promote the company's products and services at key industry events.
- Strategic planning - Work closely with senior leadership to drive market expansion.
- Sales & budget management - Align with the Sales & Managing Director to meet sales targets.
- Technical support - Analyse customer samples and assist the engineering team in developing optimal solutions.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience:
- HND, HNC, or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related fields) OR equivalent business development experience.
- Proven track record in business development, preferably in the automotive or engineering sector.
- Strong commercial experience, particularly in client relationship management and market expansion. Ability to identify business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills - able to engage effectively with clients at all levels.
- Strong organizational & project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Multilingual candidates preferred (fluent in English, German, or French).
