Sales Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Support a selection of accounts, frequently keeping in touch with customers to establish close-knit and trusting partnerships
  • Communicate with customers to proactively identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell, and ensure customers are aware of promotions
  • Follow up on outstanding quotes and samples to convert sales
  • Assist an Area Sales Manager, ensuring customers are contacted and met regularly
  • Process incoming sales orders and support customers throughout the entire sales process
  • Handle queries regarding stock and products, and quickly resolve issues as and when they arise
  • Maintain the database, ensuring all data is accurate and correctly reflects orders and contact
  • Produce reports on all sales activity and KPIs

Sales Coordinator Skills and Experience:

  • Experience gained in a similar sales role, either as a Sales Administrator looking for the next step up or as an existing Sales Coordinator
  • Customer-focused, prioritises the customer experience, consistently delivers top-class service, and can identify customer needs
  • Possesses a proven track record of upselling and cross-selling
  • Has a good understanding of the sales process and is capable of working toward targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage customers and build rapport
  • Strong administration skills with the ability to work on CRM software and MS Office packages
  • Demonstrates a 'can-do' attitude and enjoys a hands-on role
