Your new companyHays are working with a company in Tamworth who are looking for a Credit Controller to join their team.Your new role

  • Setting up & maintaining customer master records
  • Ensuring accounts are reconciled
  • Proactively resolving queries in a timely manner ensuring customers pay to agreed term
  • Building strong customer relationships across the business with sales, customer services, invoicing & operations to make sure any customer issues are escalated and resolved in a timely manner
  • Production of weekly & monthly aged debt reports
  • Maintaining debtor days in line with the organisations target
  • Ensuring overdue debt > 60 days is below 5%
  • Prepare and lodge the appropriate documents should a customer go into receivership/liquidation
  • Maintaining accurate and presentable supporting documentation throughout the department
  • Raise credit notes where necessary in line with the company's authorisation matrix
  • Assist with year-end audit
  • Promote and advocate continuous learning
  • Suggest and improve collection processes & procedures within the finance and the wider business
  • Document & maintain current processes and procedures
