Driver/General Labourer

Workshop/Head Office, Tamworth

Full Time 40hrs, Permanent, Monday to Friday, plus overtime as and when required

Salary: £23,795.20 basic pa  + overtime after 40hrs at time and a half  + Benefits

SM UK currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Driver/General Labourer to further enhance and support operations and logistics at our Workshop in Tamworth.

SM UK are recognised as the preferred supplier for the UK’s biggest manufacturer of vehicle safety systems and more recently we have expanded into the welfare van conversion market.

We are looking to recruit a motivated, energetic, and ambitious individual. The ideal candidate must have a Driving Licence as there will be an element of driving required within the role to move parts and items amongst SM UK locations.

Tasks will include, but not limited to:

  • Collection and delivery of parts
  • collection/drop-off of SM UK Driver from/to customer locations
  • General site maintenance as required including general labourer duties such as housekeeping/organising/tidying up of workshop/stores etc.

We provide full in-house training in our systems and procedures.

You will be an integral part of the efficient running of the business, providing a seamless internal service to facilitate the smooth operation of all departments and contribute to the service we provide our customer. Working to a high standard on your own initiative and as part of a Team.

you will have a ‘can do’ attitude and hands on approach, with the willingness to learn. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, dealing with a variety of tasks in a polite and professional manner, with an awareness of Health and Safety within a workshop environment.
