Contek Recruitment are currently working with a well-known, established precision machining company based inTamworth. Due to company performance and growth, they are now looking for an Engineering Administrator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our client is well established and reputable in their industry, has been operating for over 85years, and serves specialist, high-integrity industries such as Defence, Nuclear, and Aerospace.

Working Hours:Monday to Thursday (07:45am until 16:15pm) and Friday (07:45am until 15:15pm) - Flexible for the right person.

Pay:32,000 - 38,000 per year, dependent on experience. This works out to around 16-19 per hour.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • General administration duties, such as answering the telephone, greeting visitors, taking deliveries, and handling incoming/outgoing post.
  • Quality-related, maintaining the companies approved supplier list, maintaining the supplier performance logs, internal quality audits, and organising external providers for calibration.
  • Using the Management Resource Planning Software to enter new customer orders, make enquiries for new items/materials, raise purchase orders, maintain inventory records, issuing parts/materials to jobs, and closing completed jobs.
  • Raising delivery notes, raising export and domestic paperwork for deliveries.
  • Liaising with the company's uniform/PPE provider regarding new orders.
  • Checking company stock levels and re-ordering when required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment is required.
  • Understanding of what a Quality Management System is, and what it is used for. (Desirable)
  • Previous experience performing general admin duties is required.
  • A committed and driven approach to work.
  • Ambition to stay with the company long-term.
