About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Small Tools Fitter to join our team in Tamworth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and testing of small tools machinery, including generators, drills, chargers, circular saws, jigsaws, pumps, grinders, junction box. The role involves ensuring that all equipment is in safe working order and compliant with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out repairs, service and maintenance of small tools machinery as required.
  • Ensuring all machinery worked on is left ready for use in clean safe working order.
  • Ensuring site safety/regulations of their clients are adhered to with regards to site briefings, inductions and signing in etc.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date paperwork for all work carried out using the appropriate computer or paper-based system.
  • To always maintain good working practices.
  • To maintain our clients’ workshops/working areas in a clean and safe manner, ensuring any equipment used is safely returned to its natural resting place.
  • You may be required to be on call to assist in maintenance work when necessary.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Small Tools mechanic or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of small plant equipment and generators
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Valid driving licence

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience / training within small tools plant
  • Valid CSCS Card
