Customs Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Analyse customs costs, focusing on identifying duty and tax savings
  • Ensure all customs are compliant and in line with HMRC regulations
  • Undertake regular process reviews to improve customs processes
  • Arrange transport for warehouse orders and prepare all dispatch documents including manifests and invoices
  • Follow up on all customs clearance and coordinate with customs agents
  • Track and report all costs relating to logistics
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to support the reconciliation and processing of invoices

Customs Specialist Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of customs and an understanding of supply chain principles would be a distinct advantage
  • Analytically minded, with the ability to analyse data and produce insightful reports
  • Experience in warehouse logistics would be beneficial
  • IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and logistics IT systems
  • Superb communication skills, able to liaise at all levels
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
