Multimodal Freight Manager
Offering a salary of up to £52,000 per year, plus car allowance.
Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:30pm.
Fully office-based in Tamworth, with occasional client visits.

Our client is a successful Freight Forwarding and Logistics organisation who are eager to recruit a Multimodal Freight Manager to oversee their Multimodal Operations team in their Tamworth offices.
This role is working for a leading Freight and Global Logistics company who offer their customers unrivalled service in the transportation of Freight, whether by Air, Sea or Road.
We are seeking a Multimodal Freight Manager who is conversant in Import and Export Multimodal Operations procedures. The successful applicant will be responsible for dealing with all aspects of Freight Forwarding alongside strong leadership of their team.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Multimodal Freight Manager:
Dealing with all aspects of International and Domestic freight movements (Imports, Exports, Cross-trades by Air, Sea, or Road freight).
Strive for continuous improvement, always seeking ways to improve efficiency within the team.
Work alongside customer service teams to drive the development of customer growth, identifying any new opportunities within accounts.
Conduct face-to-face meetings with staff members, such as appraisals and 121s.
Managing the departments day-to-day workload and delegating duties.
Continually review work processes, to identify trends and actively develop solutions.
Oversee branch operations, including Health & Safety, Security and Compliance.
Managing cost control.
Ensuring operational excellence and implement the Learning and Development of the team.
We are seeking an operationally-biased Freight Manager, with experience in Multimodal Operations, who has a natural flair for people management. We are also interested in speaking to either Air or Ocean Managers who are looking to make the move into Multimodal Operations.
