My client, a global freight forwarder, is seeking an Import and Export road freight clerk to join their busy team in Birmingham.
The role involves handling road freight operations, sending pre-advice, monitoring shipments from start to finish, and transport planning for same-day collections.
Candidates should have experience in handling road freight and knowledge of European groupage, along with good customer service skills.
The position requires a salary of £25,000 to £30,000 and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

My clients a global freight forwarder, seeking an Import and Export road freight clerk to join their busy team in Birmingham.

Duties would include:

Handling road freight operations
Sending pre-advice
Monitoring shipments start-finish
SOP's
Transport planning for same day collections
Liaising with hauliers to provided quotations for special collections/ deliveries
Updating customers
Invoicing
General admin/ data entry

Skills required:

Experience handling road freight
Knowledge of European groupage
Ability to work well under pressure
PC literate
Good customer service skills

Working hours:

Monday - Friday 08.30am - 1730pm
