We are working with a Primary school based in Tamworth who are seeking to appoint a passionate Behaviour Mentor to work with Pupils who require additional pastoral support. This is a full time position to begin immediately!

Responsibilities:

  • Utilise the schools' behaviour management policy in your approach
  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development whilst upholding high standards of behaviour
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEMH & Challenging Behaviour.
  • Work closely with the schools' behaviour lead to create individual plans which promote positive behaviour

Requirements:

  • While prior experience in a similar role is preferred, we also welcome applications from individuals new to this sector that have transferable skills from roles such as Safeguarding Officer, Youth Work, Family Support Worker and Children’s Residential Support Worker.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students of all ages.
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and learning needs.
  • A DBS on the update service (or willing to get one)

Please note: In order to be considered for the higher pay rate, you need to have a minimum of 2 years experience in a related field of work.
