TrophyStore.co.uk Ltd, the UKs largest online retailer of trophies, medals and awards is looking for an experienced HR Manager to join its busy, expanding business in Tamworth.

As HR Manager, youll be responsible for the HR function for 60+ employees across our 3 e-commerce businesses. Working closely with the Directors and Senior Managers, youll support the HR Admin Assistant to ensure all tasks and processes are completed accurately, on time and within legal compliance.

Youll lead key initiatives in recruitment, performance management, compliance and employee engagement to promote our positive workplace values.

In this busy role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment preparing job adverts, screening CVs, hosting recruitment days, conducting interviews etc
  • Onboarding new employees induction, training etc
  • Providing guidance and support to Managers and employees on HR issues
  • Confidently and sensitively handling staff issues, including disciplinary procedures, grievances etc
  • Monitoring and managing employee sickness, absence and annual leave
  • Attending meetings and taking accurate minutes
  • Reviewing and updating employment contracts together with the policies and processes detailed in our Company Employment Handbook
  • Monitoring our staff Performance Review process
  • Payroll support to ensure monthly payroll data is accurate
  • Effectively managing multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date confidential HR records in electronic format
  • Organising company events throughout the year
  • Overseeing office management tasks including the purchasing of stationery and office equipment within budget guidelines
  • Any general office duties as required by the needs of the business

As HR Manager, you'll need the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or HR Advisor within an office and warehouse environment
  • CIPD qualification advantageous
  • Strong, up-to-date knowledge of HR principles and UK employment law
  • Calm, confident and positive can-do attitude with great people skills
  • Well organised with an ability to work strategically and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to focus and maintain accurate attention to detail, particularly when under pressure
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Strong administrative experience dealing with employee related documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient user of Office 365 - particularly Excel and Word
  • 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including English & Maths
